Obituary of Beatrice Elta Wright

Please share a memory of Beatrice to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

Unexpectedly, even in her 97th year, on October 8th in Chatham Ontario. Born in Stewiacke, Nova Scotia, she was the beloved wife of the late John Wright (2004) and cherished mother of Donna (Vancouver), Elizabeth Randall (Tom) of Chatham and Greg (Starr) of Ottawa. Dear sister of Audrey Sanderson of Stewiacke, Nova Scotia. Predeceased by sisters Elsie, Edie and Polly as well as brother Stanley.

Arriving in Ontario in 1948, she spent rewarding years living in Windsor, Oakville, London and Chatham. She was the anchor and the centrepiece of the Wright family and an inspiration to her 3 children, 5 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren and 68 nieces and nephews, not to mention numerous friends and neighbours that crossed her path over her long and fulfilling life.

Her infinite good nature, patience, kindness, thoughtfulness and boundless energy were the hallmarks of her life.

She brightened the lives of so many.

A memorial service to celebrate Bea’s life will be held at her long-time church - St. Michael and all Angels Anglican Church, 397 Springbank Drive, London on Saturday, October 13th at 12:00 pm with Reverend K. Sam Thomas officiating.
