Peacefully, at his residence on Thursday, April 30, 2020, Anthony “Tony” Kurecka, age 91, of Chatham, beloved husband for over 65 years to Mary (Vitek) Kurecka.
Born in Blenheim 1928, son of the late Anna (Buchta) and Martin Kurecka.
Loving father of Diane Udvari and Karen(Randy) Stone. Dearest Pappa of Kelsey (Ryan) Brooks, Tyler Udvari and Riley Stone. He is also survived by his step brothers Charlie (Bessie) Vasicek and Lloyd (Sheila) Vasicek, his sister-in-law Lillian (John) Bednarik and several nieces and nephews.
Predeceased by his sister Fran (Bud) Propas, his sister-in-law Georgena (Charles) Ouellette.
Tony retired from the Kent County Board of Education in 1993 and was a member of the Chatham Concert Band until his 91 st year.
A private graveside service will be held in St. Anthony’s Cemetery.
