Dear Catherine, Fannie, Elaine and Jimmy,
We are deeply saddened to hear of Peter's passing; our heartfelt condolences go out to all of you.
Peter was a wonderful, kind and special man... he had a huge heart, and was a devoted husband and father. He (and Catherine) "adopted" many of our kids, including our two daughters, who would always look forward to "breakfast at Countryside" as they would somehow get to "make their own pancakes" -while sampling the freshly made chocolate brownies smothered in Cool Whip!
The photo wall said it all... literally dozens of faces of all of those children whose lives he had touched. I also had the privilege of having the occasional quiet coffee with him in the back of the restaurant, discussing the many "issues" going on in the world. He was a principled, compassionate and caring person, and a hard-working family man, with the most wonderful partner the world could have given him. We will all miss him; our thoughts and prayers are with you...

To the Vavoulis family, so sorry to hear of his passing. Although I know none of you, Peter and I became great friends after he started the Heritage House. I worked at St. List Caribe can plant down the road from his restaurant and it was one of my jobs to Schulz evening meals for the senior personnel from Star Kist. As a result of this we became great friends. God bless Peter and also the entire family.

Miss Catherine, Fannie and Elaine
Breakfast has never been the same - we are sure Paul's had Breakfast by Peter more times than he has at home.
He offered up amazing parenting advise - which we listened to and followed. His greatest achievement was that of Dad to his amazing girls Fannie and Elaine - of whom he was exceptionally proud of.
He also pumped our girls full of sugar then sent them back to our table!
Finding great memories and holding on to them tightly.

I am saddened to learn of Peter's passing.
Yet I am very blessed to have met and worked for, both Peter and Catherine since 1976 @ the Wheels.
Peter hired me and taught me much about the Hospitality Industry.
However.....the most important lesson I learned from Peter was this:
Wherever you go, and whatever you do....you will always be the only Father your children will ever have, here on Earth!
Powerful words at a time in my life when I had such need for input and direction!
Praying for Catherine and the Family through this valley.

To the Vavoulis Family
Peter was such a friendly and courteous man. Whether I came to the restaurant by myself or the family Peter always took the time to visit and we’d share stories. Though I haven’t seen Peter for quite some time I often thought of him & Cathy. By chance I’d cross paths with Fannie, who’d update me of Peter and his four legged companion who he adored.
Peter will live on in your hearts and memories.

Dearest Catherine, Fannie, Elaine & Jimmy. Words cannot express our deepest sympathy in the loss of such a wonderful man. We have so many wonderful memories of days when our young family would come into Countryside and Catherine would immediately come to greet us followed by Peter who would come and scoop up Christopher only to take him back to the kitchen to show him how to make pancakes or pizza. We enjoyed so many wonderful times at Countryside and loved Peter & Catherine just like our own family. We are so sorry for your loss and pray that your memories will help you through this very difficult time. We send you our love and prayers.

Dear Catherine , Fannie, Elaine & Jimmy & Juno
Wilbert & I are very sadden to hear of Peter passing away. There are no words to express what a caring and love he showed for all that he touched. For many years we had breakfast. Peter always knew our order as we walked in. I remember so well when Wilbert was very ill in the hospital and could only keep down fluid Peter made chicken broth. Also when I got called to go to a family that had lost a loved one when I was working for a parish. he sent home a western sandwich for me.
Peter "Fought the good fight he won the race" May he now rest in peace in the loving arms of Jesus
Blessings

Catherine, Fannie, Elaine, Jimmy and Juno,
Dan and I are deeply saddened by the loss of Peter. He was larger than life in his love for his family, his business, and his community. I was so honoured to get to know him through Rotary and his support meant so much. His encouragement, advice and smiling face was very much appreciated as I took some big steps in my own life and community. He will be deeply missed, but his impact and legacy will never be forgotten. Sending so much love to all of you. xo

Peter was a kind caring man. Peter worked with my mother at the Holiday Inn where they became very close friends. I remember as a young teenager going to visit my mom at work and Peter would always be happy and smiling and he always made me a burger and fries. Later as a grown woman he gave my daughter her first job at his restaurant. Peter and Catherine were always kind and loving to everyone who visited their restaurant. My thoughts and prayers are with all of you as you go through this very sad time.
