I worked with John for many years at the Judy LaMarsh building. He had a great sense of humour. John worked on the other side of a baffle from me. One day I put a tin can on a string and attached a bell to it. I had a can on the other end of the string at my desk. When John got to work and was settling in, I pulled the string which rang the bell. Without missing a beat, John picked up the can and said “Good morning, John speaking. How can I help you?” I was in hysterics . I could not answer my side of the “phone” I was laughing too hard. Only John would have actually answered the tin can phone professionally.
