My condolences to Uncle Bob's family. He was such an amazing man and so special to so many. Marc Marchand said it best. Everyone should have an Uncle Bob. I have so many memories, he was so strong, generous and kind. I have the best memories of Uncle Bob and Aunt Madeleine's house. The cats in the barn, the apple tree, the little rocking chair in the living room. Tammy the dog that would sleep with us when we stayed overnight. Parents in the kitchen and intermittent roars of laughter would bellow as they were playing cards or telling jokes, or playing jokes on each other. They were indeed happy times. Later when my son was about 7, my sister Michele and I brought our boys and Uncle Vince's grandson, Daniel to ice fish with our uncles and Aunt Stella. Those moments are the most precious because you see they were all teachers. Teaching the younger generation how to fish, and letting them have hands on training, including letting them fail as you will see a picture of my son who stepped into one of the ice holes. I know I speak for my sisters and my nieces and nephews we are all so grateful to have had relationships with this man named Grouch or Johnny Cash as he often introduced himself.
Uncle Bob, I love you and thank you for all you did for us.

Dear Diane, Pat, Elaine and families,
Thinking of you all as we grieve with you. Uncle Bob was a gift to all of us. Strong, wise, loving, and courageous. He was an anchor in our extended families. I cherish the memories of the times of laughter and conversations spent in that kitchen. I could listen to him talk all day long. I am thankful that God let us have him for so long. I'll never forget when we were small and walked up the aisle in church on Sunday when we visited Pain Court, how he would grab one of us kids and pull us into the pew with him and Aunt Madeleine. He will be missed this side of Heaven but we look forward to the day we can see him again. Praying peace over you all during this difficult time.
With much love,
Louise & Dave and family.

My deepest sympathies to Bob's family and friends. Bob was strong in spirit who loved life and laughter. So many wonderful memories in Bob and Madeleine's kitchen so much story telling, laughter, joke telling and laughter, antics and laughter. Growing up, Bob was the oldest and always looked out for the rest of us. He was a man of great faith and his sense of humour was like no other. His nick name was the "Grouch" but he was the sweetest soul. His legacy is strong and true.
Love Yvonne
