Peacefully and surrounded by love at Park Lane Terrace in Paris Ontario in her 100th year, on Tuesday October 26, 2021.
Born in Niagara Falls, ON April 9, 1922. Daughter of the late Ida (Coste) and Richard Bevan. Beloved wife of the late Philip W. Carruthers (1979).
Survived by her 4 children Bill (Doreen) Carruthers, Cathy (Ken) Macaulay, Michael Carruthers and Patricia (Robert) Brooksbank. Dearest Gran of 8 grandchildren Karen (Scott) Williams, Robert (Kim) Macaulay, Laura (Graig) Cole, Sarah (Darryl) Graham, Jason Carruthers, Cassondra (Dwayne) Amyotte, Bevan (Laura) Brooksbank, and Graham (Nicole) Brooksbank, and 13 great grandchildren.
Predeceased by her infant granddaughter Claire (1968) and grandson Cameron (1992), her sisters Marie Wing, Frances Crummer, Dorothy and Elaine Bevan.
Betty was a member of St. Joseph’s Roman Catholic Church, CWL (Harwich), Honorary Life Member of the May Court Club of Chatham and Manager of the Bargain Box for 25 years until her retirement.
Friends and relatives may visit at Hinnegan-Peseski Funeral Home, 156 William St. S. Chatham (519-352-5120) on Friday October 29, 2021 from 2-5 pm (no sign up necessary).
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday October 30, 2021 at 11 am in St. Joseph’s Church.

The family would like to extend sincere thanks to the Grand River Court staff at Park Lane Terrance who showed mother such love and kindness making Park lane her new home.
